    Sony RX10 v Panasonic FZ1000

I currently use a Sony A6000 but due to family commitments I don't get as much use of it or time so was thinking of trading it in for a really good bridge camera. What are your thoughts between the Sony RX10 mk 1,2 or 3 and the Panasonic Fz1000 mk 1 or 2? In an ideal world I would like to keep...

    Beginner New lens

For close up look at the Sigma 70-300 APO as it offers 1:2 macro but make sure you get a later model as the early ones won't autofocus on your camera Otherwise look for a 90mm 105mm or 50mm . dedicated macro lens from Tamron, Sigma or Nikon. Any of the prime lenses above also make decent...

    Beginner Features for a child's 1st camera

I would go for a bridge camera like the Fujifilm HS30 Sony RX10 or Panasonic FZ1000 to get a much more useful lens range with out loosing manual control or a viewfinder. Having a mirror less or DSLR means you'll need a bag of lenses to get the most out of the camera.

Beginner What have I done wrong here?

A = Aperture priority, the best mode for landscape, select F8-16 and let the camera sort the shutterspeed, but also select the iso, something like 200iso and accept the lower shutterspeed, using a tripod/wall rock or your camera bag to support the camera. The 2second self timer can be a godsend...

Beginner What have I done wrong here?

Totally agree with the other members here. I rarely go over 400iso to avoid noisy images. A tripod or even just your camera bag as a support and using the self timer allows you to shoot a decent small aperture and avoid noise. One benifit of using a bag as a support is it forces you to a lower...

Considering an upgrade, but to what?

Pros and cons to FX over DX, the biggest being lenses! Do you want to upgrade your lenses or not. Staying with FX would at least mean that it's only the camera you're changing it maybe provide the budget to upgrade a lens at the same time. The 7500 would be an option possibly

Compact / bridge camera recommendations? £300-400 range

What about the rx10? Not as compact as the rx100 but has the better zoom range and premium quality. Otherwise Fujifilm HS30 which can be had for under £100 as a real bonus
