I recall developing my first ever film. I was eight (in 1964) and was in the pitch black of our attic box room. Three pudding basins, developer, wash and fix. Strip the 620 film off the paper backing. Hold both ends and see-saw through the developer with my brother telling the time through the closed door. The thrill when washed and fixed of turning on the light and seeing pictures I had taken. I still get that thrill over 50 years later. Of course I have moved with the times and have digital cameras too, but nothing beats the feeling of having MADE that image.Interact
