    Happy Birthday.

A belated Happy Birthday from me (been offline over the weekend, so only just spotted this).

Great spot, your wait was well rewarded. It's often worth waiting to see how the colours develop, if you've got the time. Seeing a fantastic sky as you're driving off is worse than waiting and nothing happening!

It is possible to have the histogram showing while adjusting exposure compensation on the A6000 (I've just tested with mine) - the problem is there is so much customisation even on an entry level camera like this, that it's probably something to do with a combination of settings. I was in AP...

Even better would be an option to automatically sync the clocks - imagine if you could just set both cameras to clock sync mode, then bring them close to NFC pair and sync. 6 Bodies, just auto sync to the one primary, job done in under a minute :)

I agree. On my A900 I had the A Mount Sigma 12-24, and switched it for a CZ 16-35 - I only occasionally feel I need / want wider then 16, and having 25-35 means much less switching to the 24-70.

There were a lot of people complaining that the A9ii was just a minor upgrade on the A9, but it looks like Sony knew what their target market was when they introduced it - and for AP it clearly met their requirements. I would imagine AP would have got a significant discount over retail prices...

I suspect Sony's view will be even if this is a sale 'at cost' to them, the PR benefit of AP switching to them is significant, as is the hit to both Canon and Nikon in loosing AP.

Or perhaps they realised they needed to put in a lot of overtime to match / beat Sony in the months ahead. They certainly would have had some form of eye AF in development, but without Sony pushing the boundaries I doubt Canon would have worked as hard to get their version to the standard it...

We're going to get an additional TV soon, and it will be 4k simply because if you go with the main manufacturers all the options for a 40" or up TV are 4k.

My old A900 has a switch on body - I still forget (sometimes to turn it off, sometimes to turn it back on!)

Not sure how useful an f11 lens will be in the UK...

Opinions/reviews on VISICO Range of flashes

That was my assumption, but on the Lencarta website, under Q&A for the Visco 4 someone asks about Godox trigger compatibility, and gets the reply; I suspect it's incorrect.

I rename on import to Lightroom, to include the camera and year - this keeps things from my 3 cameras nicely separate and ordered (I also copy to a folder by date, just to be 100% sure!)

The concept of having a digital display built into a dial so that it can show what it does, and allows dials to be customised as required, is a nice one, assuming they are durable enough, and the rotating part of the dial maintains the tactile feel of a normal dial. It's a bit like the OLED...

E mount macro lens vs extension tubes

You can also use the Sony 50 f/1.8 OSS with extension tubes, another option to consider alongside the Sigma's. The Sony has the advantage of OSS when used as a more general purpose lens.
