I probably had over sharpened them a tad. I've gone back to the original and started post processing again. A little less sharpening and noise reduction has improved them. Thanks for the comments guys, ;)

Which stage was this at? I spent all morning in Sweet Lamb, then went back to Welshpool for about 3pm to get some shots of what was going on there.

Yep, it's one of those common sense things that you don't think about. Looking up into a dark night sky you instictivley think" long exposure", instead of thinking "This is an object in full noon daylight". :thinking:
