Thanks! A bridge camera would be my choice as well. I think the only reason they are considering a DSLR is he's so into copying the older lad with the DSLR.

My friend's son is 11 and spends 90% of his free time skateboarding. Unfortunately he broke his leg last week so he's stuck in a cast for the rest of summer! He's asked his folks if he could have a camera for his birthday so he can hang out at the skatepark taking photos of his friends...

I've been looking online all night at pet photos....Seeing plenty of perfect puppies all looking in the same direction perfectly posed...Then I look at the videos of complete and utter chaos my friend has posted since the puppies came along and I reckon I'm doomed :)
