BBC 4: The Great British Photography Challenge

I quite liked the show overall, more than I thought I would. It was refreshing for it not to be a knockout competition, makes much more sense to judge based on the entirety of their works. Pleased that Rankin deferred a little to photographers that shoot different subjects to him rather than...

    Film Developing in the UK

I'm also someone that had negative experiences with AG a few years back, but it was a while ago (they scratched my negatives, denied responsibility, were near impossible to contact, then they sent my negatives back to the wrong address and permanently lost them. They didn't care that they'd lost...

Simulated Long Exp of Slater Bridge

Having the water and the sky at different speeds looks weird to me here.

    Developing 35 mm film

Peak are the best for me, not the cheapest but the most reliable I've used.

    Strange artefact - any ideas?

    Gotta be them aliens again.

Please help, how to determine distance/size of object in photo

It's pretty easy to "debunk this photo" without really even looking at the photo, just your words. :D This thread is incredible entertainment. It's either one dedicated troll job, or the direct unravelling of a conspiracy theorist's brain in live-action. I for one cannot wait for full...

Let's cut to the chase...I could have died.

I knew if I went on one of your workshops you'd try and off me. Glad you're okay you dafty. Don't forget you can replicate rocks and hills with some stones in your garden, just dig it up a bit. That'll work.

    Master of Photography is back

Those scene setting shots would have been filmed separately to the actual challenges. They're just TV bits to liven the presentation.

    South-West England Blackchurch rock (Devon)

It's not so bad; it's only a 20 minute walk from Brownsham car park, down through some lovely woodland. Bit upset that some of the woodland had been cut down on my last visit in May. Not sure when that happened as I hadn't been for 18 months prior.

    South-West England Blackchurch rock (Devon)

If you want a sunset shot through the gaps it has to be at low tide, as you need to be on the 'other' side of the rock. You can't access that side of the rock at high tide. You're more likely to get a shot through the gaps at sunrise, where you can be on the safe side of the beach. It very...

I also had issues with AG and moved to Peak, never had an issue since and the quality and service has always been top notch. Not used FilmDev personally.

Surprising Pixsy match - photo backdrop being sold with my photo

Let's be honest here, you're just a horrible person. In the last few days you've slagged off Vegans, Arabs, and the Chinese. You're using "Banter" as a disguise for racism. If you think that stuff is funny you can go and live with Roy Chubby Brown and Jim Davidson in your little white world...

    1-Man Tents

Don't wild camp very often so went for a relatively cheaper Robens Starlight 1. Pretty lightweight (but not the most lightweight), easy to erect, sturdy and has room to store your bag in the porch area. Works well for me.

    Castlerigg stone circle

Sensitive much? :D I like the idea of documenting these honey-pot locations and how people interact with them, as well as their 'reality'.

    Beginners and landscapes / sunsets

No, you don't have to agree the images are top notch. Nothing to do with price or cliché, everything to do with style (and sometimes composition). I prefer not to have my eyes bleed through ludicrous over saturation.
