Crowd Funding is this the future ?

I think it can be a great idea, see if the interest is there for your book - if there is it’s a win, if not nothing lost. There are some questionable projects though from people looking to make a quick buck

Monopod - what's difference between these two?

We're wedding photographers that are also looking to start doing video - the biggest kit that would go on it would be a Sony a7iii and a 70-200 2.8 GM. I've heard that it's pointless having a head on a monopod. We currently have one tripod with a 3 way head, looking to end up with 2 tripods...

So a smaller Sirui would be ok you think?

Monopod - what's difference between these two?

I've looked but how big do I need to go? We shoot Sony, do we need to go this big or can we get away with smaller? https://amzn.to/2M536zI

Monopod - what's difference between these two?

Hey everyone - question for the video guys... Is there a difference between these two monopods? They look identical but the 'US' version is more expensive (not including shipping)? https://amzn.to/2LBJpmK vs https://amzn.to/2LHcJZ5 Also are there others I should be looking at around this...

Agreed, especially as you can fully customise the a7iii

    Portrait mobile lighting

+1 for the Godox AD600 - we absolutely love it. Not too big, rechargeable battery and lasts for AGES! https://amzn.to/2NRILyr

Which prime portrait lens? Nikon 85mm f1.4 or 105mm f1.4?

When we were on Nikon’s we had the 85 1.4 but it wasn’t reliable for focus, using it at 1.4 was pointless. Now with Sony and opted for the Sigma Art 85 1.4. It’s the size of a gun turret but absolutely phenomenal. Nails focus at 1.4 (also due to the a7iii) and the shots are beautiful

Weddings - Moving from Fuji to Sony

We got fed up of waiting for Nikons’s mirrorless entry so switched to Sony. Very happy we did as cane from a Nikon D750 and there’s absolutely no comparison between the two. Plus if we were still with Nikon and wanted mirrorless we’d still have to buy new lenses.

Beginner F.stop on a sunny day explain please

The only reason the aperture would have an effect if the photo was over exposed and the skies etc were blown out if that's what you mean? A narrower aperture (lower number) would bring the exposure down and darken the image, albeit not only the over exposed areas but the correctly exposed areas...
