    Beginner Macro Photography tips?

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated To be honest Phil, I thought because of the extremely high output of my LED’s, I might be better off not using a flash? Plus, also need to think about startling the inhabitants. Maybe a flaw directed elsewhere? Remotely maybe.

    Beginner Macro Photography tips?

Hi guys, I have a Marine Fish tank and I am trying to get some really nice shots, this is pretty much my first foray into Macro photography. I am using a D90 & Tamron 90mm F2.8 - Obviously I am somewhat limited with the focus speed of the D90, but what I am struggling with is focusing in...

Anyone do a 4 on/4 off shift pattern?

The advice was very much appreciated. In the end i decided that it was not a good idea. Money cannot buy your time back, and i know for a fact that I'd be the kind of sap to get in and then run around after my 2yr old, possibly grabbing a couple of hours here and there, and making my already...

Anyone do a 4 on/4 off shift pattern?

Its only nights, no days at all, on a 12 hour shift, Daughter has only just turned 2 and the missus isn't looking to go back to work until September 2020.

Anyone do a 4 on/4 off shift pattern?

Our Daughter is 2, the extra money would be helpful but is not essential, although we are saving for a house. Missus is currently a stay at home Mum. It is a relatively relaxed working environment and is not really high stress, plus as a mechanical Engineer trying to study for my Electrical...

Anyone do a 4 on/4 off shift pattern?

Hi all, bit of a random question. I'm an Engineer currently doing pretty much a bog standard 9-5. I've been offered the opportunity to go on nights, on a 4 on/4 off rotation with a pretty massive pay rise. My only concern is i have a young Daughter and the missus, while supportive, does not...

The Walking Dead...[CONTAINS TV SHOW SPOILERS]

The Whisperers will be the new antagonists of the show. If they are anything like how they are portrayed in the comics, it'll be pretty brutal. They make every "Enemy" faced so far look very very tame in comparison, including Negan. So not Zombie talkers, more people in Zombie drag :D

    First Nikon FX body recommendations?

Thanks so much for the wealth of advice guys its really helped...and made me ask more questions :D D850 looks lovely and while its not really out of budget, to be honest i'd rather go for something slightly more reasonable and invest in more lenses. Reason to switch to FX is purely out of...

    First Nikon FX body recommendations?

Hi all, Currently have a D7100 and a few lenses, including a 70-200mm F2.8 and a 300MM F4 as well as some DX lenses (35/50/18-140mm). I've been looking at the D750 and seems to be quite popular and a decent price, but i've never owned an FX Nikon body before. I primarily shoot wildlife and...

    Faster focusing telephoto zoom

Can't comment on the Nikon but if budget is an issue i personally would go for the Sigma 70-200mm F2.8. Can be had for around £500 second hand (Or even cheaper if you're lucky) and its an amazing lens.

Looking for a decent aquarium forum

Another one for Ultimate Reef - Been on there for the best part of a decade. Its predominantly Marine Aquaria but there are some great sections and references for freshwater if that's the route you're going down. What sort of setup are you after? I've built Reef systems from small to large over...

    red eyed tree frog

Not particularly, other species of Tree Frog are much more difficult. Red eyes can be handled (Carefully) and are generally very easy to look after. Never had a Beardie but their temperament is what's drawing me to them. Just at work at the mo will respond more later if you want anymore info...

    red eyed tree frog

Absolutely fantastic, currently going through your pics and checking out the website, looks awesome! I will get some shots for you, great personality they have. We are actually currently setting up an enclosure for Red Eye Tree Frogs :) We had Leopard Gecko’s but lost them to parasites sadly...

Nikon mirrorless definitely on the way

I hated it, but funnily enough i looked over some of the images i took that hadn't been processed yet and the raw images were very very good quality (In my eyes). I pretty much exclusively photograph wildlife so it was always back to the DSLR. Similar story with the bloke who bought it off me...
