    The Isolation Thread

I have one I brought from a model shop a little while ago and it is model number ab602. The label on the front is from expotools if you wanted to look it up, it goes up to 100psi but I think I'd blow the model out the window on that! I'd usually use it at about 20 psi and spray on a bit of paper...

    The Isolation Thread

Thank you! Yes the wings did fall off a couple of times but perserverence won, I'm glad you have had some happy memories building the models and of your late dad, what he did can never be forgotten.

    The Isolation Thread

Yes, I've been getting better at it but found that acrylic paints thinned down to about 50/50 with thinner have been more successful. I'm waiting for some clear gloss and matt finish along with decal fix to arrive, it's a learn as you go process. I'm still learning but getting there!

    The Isolation Thread

Have painted the garage door, cleared out old paperwork and shredded the lot, four bags worth! Also for any Airfix fans out there, I've completed the Fokker Dr.1 triplane and waiting for some supplies to finish of the Battle of Britain Lancaster Bomber. Next is going to be the Messerschmidt and...

What are you reading at the moment?

Have you read The Great German Escape by Charles Whiting? It is an account of the Germans in POW camps in Britain and how they planned a mass escape to take London in the last few months of the war. A different perspective and Eden Camp in Yorkshire is now a museum, worth a visit!

What are you reading at the moment?

The Tunnel by Eric Williams, a sequel to The Wooden Horse. Any one interested in military history should try The Forgotten Voices series, anything to do with both world wars has me hooked.

    Yet (another) bag question

Try Think Tank, I have a streetwalker pro and can fit a 150-500 with my nikon7100 and also a 70-200 f2.8. It has a raincover attached and is quite narrow. I'm only 5ft 2 and can carry it around easily all day!

A Pumpkin question for the gardeners here

Just seen this thread so hopefully not to late but I grew some in a grow bag on my patio, they have produced a couple of small pumpkins. They grow long tentacles which I had to train along the bag so not to tread on the fruit but I think you'll have a better chance of getting something if it can...

The silly state of.... Nikon Grips!

The saying buy cheap buy twice comes to mind, I brought a nikon grip for my 7100 a year ago and was lucky to find one second hand from cameraworld as my camera was still under warranty and if a third party grip caused any issues( unlikely I know) this might have been a problem.

A Development In My Hobby - The Film Journey

The tmax films used to have a more magenta base colour compared to other kodak films, when I worked in a lab we had a rep from kodak come over from the states because we noticed the prints had a magenta cast in the highlights and a green cast in the shadows. This is going back over twenty years...

Beginner My very first bird (Blue Tit)

Nicely done and really like the first shot, I found the best way of trying out different shutter speeds, aperture and anything else is with a cup of tea and using a trigger release from comfort of my lounge!

    Nikon upgrade ?

Just a passing thought but how about a 7100 instead? It's got the twin card slot which I have found really handy and can go to 7 fps. I think you'll find there's not a huge difference in between the 7200 and 7100 apart from maybe WiFi. It could be a cheaper alternative, I went from a 5000 to a...

    Coffee Style Lay Flat Photobooks

Try photobox, I brought one last year and was impressed with the quality and service I got. They do lots of special offers, I had 60% off mine via e mail voucher and an A3 lay flat book with around a hundred pages was £54! Have used them a couple of times since and been happy with the prints and...

A.I. Can Now Tell If You Are Gay From Scanning One Photo of Your Face

As history seems to be repeating itself in many countries I can't see anything positive coming out of this.

A.I. Can Now Tell If You Are Gay From Scanning One Photo of Your Face

What is the point behind spending vast amounts of time and money other than to " out" those that have the right for their life to be private?
