I should be ok then, this one has 4gb dedicated graphics card, I will remove all the 'bloatware' and un required apps - I am an IT Administrator in my day job so kinda know what I'm doing lol. Here are the full specs:
Windows 8.1
Intel® Core™ i7-4710HQ processor
16Gb RAM
Hybrid 1Tb 5400rpm...

I have just bought a new laptop (well ordered it, it arrives Wednesday). My current i3 was struggling with photoshop so soon will have an Lenovo Y50-70 i7 with 16GB RAM. It has a 1TB Hard drive with an 8GB SSHD - will this cope with photoshop CC & Lightroom ok?
Sorry if this is wrong area but I...
Haha, yes I did mean lens hoods - Doh!
I looked at that (online) but I wasn't sure it was big enough with the battery grips (they make quite a difference) although the price is quite good.
[edit] just looked at the video on wex and am thinking that might be ideal. Love the way you can access...
Hi all,
I'm now in need of a camera bag to hold the following equipment:
Canon 6d + battery grip + Ef24-105L Lens + lenscap
Canon 600d + battery grip + EF50mm 1.8 Lens + lenscap
Speedlight 600EX-RT + diffuser
Speedlight 430EXII + diffuser
Canon 70-200 + Lens cap
Space for memory cards...
I have to agree with Rog (droj) on this one - I have a very basic A4 printer (albeit a Canon to match my camera lol) and I just use that for doccumentation / cntracts etc. It only has one black and one tri-colour cartridge but that's all I need for now.
If you want great prints and albums, sub...
Haven't posted for a little while so thought I'd just have a look around. I got an intervalometer for Christmas so looking forward to some time-lapse photography soon. So far only used it as a remote trigger release but looks easy enough to set up and use.
Well I have stopped spending for a while - luckily one of my step-daughters bought me an intervalometer for Christmas, so far only used it as a remote trigger release for long exposures but looks easy to use and looking forward to taking some time-lapse photography in the near future. Also...
I had a quick look at photoguard and they look reasonably priced - Only reason I haven't progressed is they want serial numbers of equipment over a certain value (£500 I think) and all my equipment is at home (I am at work at the moment).
I will do a quick spreadsheet of all the serial numbers...
I got mine from Value Basket - the body plus speedlight 600EX-RT plus 2 x 32GB memory cards was £1260
It did take around 5 weeks to arrive but if you aren't in a hurry it's a good price.
Wow, it's gone quiet on here lately - I guess Christmas is getting in the way of a lot of photography - I know it is for me but tomorrow is my last day of work until 5th Jan so hopefully will get out (well wrapped up) and take some outdoor shots - there's only so many pics I can take of the cats :P
Well Chris - just one page back and it seems Ryanyboy passed 5 years ago.
I'm also looking to do this course but for the time being I have just signed up to a facebook advertised course - lots of good independant reviews swayed me to go for it and already getting responses from the personal...
Are they in the same area - could be dust or marks on your sensor. Do some test shots on a plain white wall and see if it's in the same area on all the photo's (you may need to view them at 100% on a PC to see them properly).
On a positive note - my 6d arrived yesterday - not taken it outdoors...
Loving those pics Mr. Perceptive - especially the (very useable) high ISO on that first shot. My 6d + speedlight 600 + 32gb memory cards shoudl arrive today around 2pm - can't wait to get home to try it out on my 24-105L and 50mm Prime lenses :)
