We have just managed to have a dry day here. Something of an event! The fields here are waterlogged though and I have a very wet muddy labrador in my kitchen who has just come back from her walk.
Yes you are right. They are not as good as they should be but I didnt want to spoil the moment and use flash so they are on 1.8, my lab on 1/20s and the spaniel 1/6s, both handheld.

Thanks for arranging the meet Martin. It was good to meet up again with everyone. I havent got any brilliant shots, and Gary has beaten me to it with the zebra and penguin ones. I'll have a look through later and post a couple, if I can remember how to.
Thank you Mike. I do have shaky hands and even with the VR I have had this problem before. I will try a higher ISO. With my D60 I used to get a lot of noise with higher ISO but maybe my new D90 will be better.
I havent posted any pics for ages so thought I would put this one on which amused me. He was so friendly. I was just driving round and saw him walking around someones garden. Comments and critique welcomed.
I had one of those and they used to take some good family photos, many of which are stuck in our family albums.I reckon there are one or two cameras up in the loft but I wouldnt be able to get up there to check.
