Lubitel Film questions + a bonus!

Evening, I picked up a Lubitel 166b for a tenner on the car boot this morning. I thiugh it could be some fun, and if nothing else the waist high view finder is cool! So, I may want to play with MF film at some point, but will probably start with 35mm and a conversion kit. Can anyone give me...

Large Format question- Free HP Designjet 5500

I am now just trying to find the best software to use with it. Trying GIMP, but on the first try that would only print A4, regardless of page and printer settings. Publisher worked, but thats not ideal!

Large Format question- Free HP Designjet 5500

I did what you should always do in this situation and looked on youtube! Handy little video telling me how to connect to a very similar HP printer worked a charm. I have had to plug it in via a network cable, rather than through the parallel port, but I have been able to print. I have had to...

Large Format question- Free HP Designjet 5500

So, it fires up, does all the testing and calibration that it should do, seems perfect. I am just struggling to connect to the printer. I have a USB to Parallel cable, and I can connect the printer to the router, but struggling to get a computer to talk to it, I cannot detect it at all.

Large Format question- Free HP Designjet 5500

Good call. I will have a look and see if anything looks wrong. The landlord said the tenant was a friend before he did the midnight flit, so my thoughts are he took everything he could carry- cables, the paper rolls etc, with the intention of coming back to get the printer with someone to help...

Large Format question- Free HP Designjet 5500

Thanks. I have spent £20 on cables and a 45metre roll of paper, and wont be spending anymore till I know it works! It has 6 ink colours which are £175 per colour to refill (if buying from HP, much less from other sources) but they all have plenty of ink in them. I know its old, but from what I...

Large Format question- Free HP Designjet 5500

Hi! Thanks in advance for any help. I have just been given a HP Designjet 5500 42" printer. Its for the school I work at, but I am trying to sort it out. It was left behind when a tenant moved out, and the landlord has donated it. It was working prior to the tenant doing a midnight flit, I...

Canon 55-250 IS STM £110.50 (Inc £20 cashback) delivered at Amazon

On second look, looks like not sold by amazon, so no cashback. still a good price, but not amazing for what could well be a grey import.

Canon 55-250 IS STM £110.50 (Inc £20 cashback) delivered at Amazon

AS it says, the 55-250 STM is currently £130.50 at amazon (lowest ever according to camerapricebuster was £148) so that pretty darn cheap for this lens, then chuck another £20 cashback in from canon and it becomes a steal at £110.50...

    Perseids - heads up

I am pointing the camera in that general direction, iso of 800 and an exposure of 30 seconds on my 18-55mm kit lens at 18mm. My Canon 750d has a continuous shot option so one press of a button and it will shoot 10 shots like this back to back. Hopefull will get something.....But I am no expert...

    Perseids - heads up

If you get an app (I use Star Tracker on android) then turn on your gps and point it at the sky it will tell you what stars you are looking at. You want to be looking North East though.
