    "Panasonic G series" Owners Thread

I use it on my G5... So no IBIS and I do almost no video so can't really answer these. However the focus is as fast as any other lens i.e. very fast.

    bag recommendation

Don't have a Fuji but it must be a pretty small kit I guess... Buy a MTB backpack a little bit bigger than just for hydration, and wrap the camera inside? I have an old Deuter bag for when I bike.

    False economy!

I have a strap from the same brand (another model) and it has a very different way of attaching the camera. I'm glad it didn't happen to me but now you got me worried... As a matter of fact I also bought a very cheap wrist strap some weeks ago and tested it before attaching a camera.... Just a...

    The stolen equipment discussion thread......

Years ago my bag got stolen with 2 cameras in it, one of them with a vintage lens attached. I looked at eBay and other sites for a long time, never found anything that looked like it could be my stuff.

    To teleconvert, or not?....

Much cheaper than a 400mm f/2.8 though. In your scenario, if you can do manual focus and aperture priority with an aperture ring on the lens then its cheap. A dummy adapter and a used 16 megapixel Olympus or Lumix can be had well under 200 £/$/€. Not far from the price of a good teleconverter...

    To teleconvert, or not?....

Or stick it on a m43 body to get effective 400mm and keep the 2.8 aperture.

    E Global Central

My understanding is that their customers have not paid VAT to their local country for these purchases. They might or might not be willing to report publicly about that. I might be wrong, never used them so far.

    Olympus M10 Mark 2

I bought the same for my E-M10 but I can't adapt to using it very well. I find the position of my index finger is too far from the shutter button when the grip is mounted. Now I have an E-M5 ii and will look for something else or just accept the fact that these cameras are smaller. After all...

    Olympus OM-D E-M5, E-M1, E-M10 - Mk1, Mk2 & Mk3 Owners Thread

I didn't know about that option. I was going to suggest leaving your thumb on the eye sensor near the EVF when you look away. I don't have an E-M1 though and that's surely not very practical to do even if it works.

    DSLR for £250 budget

Any old DSLR with say 10mpix or more. Make sure you have also the budget for a basic flash (this will help with the limited ISO capabilities of these old beasts). I bought an Olympus E-510 body+double kit zooms+TTL flash last summer for... 80€. That leaves budget for another couple of lenses...

    Film camera suggestions

LOL yes that can be a problem. You might be able to find one locally. I could give you one but shipping from Belgium might be too expensive.

    Film camera suggestions

I guess you're talking about the rubber thingy right? All of the A bodies share the same I think. But you can use the camera without it pretty much OK.
