Beginner welcomes constructive critisism re rural landscapes

Thanks for the encouragement! As stated above, the main aim was the mountains with the contrast of topography and colour in front, but the mountains did not stand out as they did with the naked eye

Beginner welcomes constructive critisism re rural landscapes

Thanks Your comments highlight my concern with the photo as I was trying to feature the Pyrenees mountains and they are not very obvious in the photo. I liked the way the mountains contrasted with the misty valley, then the woods then the very green, rolling, shadow covered barley field. The...

Beginner welcomes constructive critisism re rural landscapes

Thanks Jim So I understand, are you saying that in landscapes you would prefer to see a feature to focus on? A focus point? The brown in right hand shadow is brown caused by wild boar damage to the barley! Appreciate your comments

    Good online printing service

    Good online printing service

    Good online printing service

Thanks - i'll give that a go One more if i may? My images are saved on my drive in RAW. What is the best file to use to send them to the printers? I have opted to use Loxley and am using the ROES system, but am unsure what the best file is for compression vs quality

    Good online printing service

Thanks - i'll have a look The problem I've had to date is that after spending much care processing the image up to where i want it, i then order a print and they tend to come back very dark with dull colours, not representative of the image

    Good online printing service

By saying simply 'photos' I'm probably revealing my rather basic level of knowledge, but that is it. I take my photos in RAW and then process using iphoto - looking to bring some up to a decent size for framing etc
