A rushed, impromptu set of shots in the garden with the grandkids.
I've got to say that I'm impressed with the cheap Chinese lens. Cheap in price, not optical performance, it seems.
I apologise if this has been asked before. I had a bit of a look around and could not see the answer.
Well.. I have an Alpha 7 and the 200-600. The focussing speed is, to say the least, leisurely. Am I right in thinking that the Apha 7 III would be a mite quicker?
Thank you in advance for any...
This may be a stupid question, but is there really that much of a difference to be had between 500 and 600mm, especially given the ability to crop?
Could you save your money for a different type of lens? WA, normal zoom etc.
I don't know how one could adjust the different colour channels from an M, as there is no colour information recorded at all. The only way that I could think of doing that would be to use a coloured filter at the time of exposure.
Have I missed something?
To my mind (and eyes), the 135 wide open gives the perfect DOF for a head shot (anyone else's opinion might well be at variance with this, though). If you're happy with head shots at 100mm f/2.8 (for the avoidance of doubt, I do NOT mean that in any kind of disparaging way), then there's no real...
If there's one camera I wish I still had, it is the 1Ds III. Perhaps with your 'small pot' (I don't know how much you mean by that), you could get something like an 85 1.8 and/or the Sigma 35.
I'd just like to add that I know that I haven't been commenting on anybody's pics. At the moment, I've got a load of stuff to get through, so haven't got the time to give some meaningful comments. I hope to have cleared my backlog soon and get out there commenting.

She's happy, because she's just paid for our big holiday this year and got a new bear to take along. I'm happy, as I'm playing with my new (to me, anyway) camera.
