    Laundry Day

I think it's quite a striking image. Not one I would hang but very striking and different.

Many thanks for the comments and absolutely no problem to having a play with the pictures. I particularly like what you've done with the first image. Andrew

    Garden Kingfisher

I haven't posted here for quite sometime now. To be honest I haven't had much time to get out with the camera but thought I'd share with you these shots and the story that accompanies them which I still can't quite believe happened yesterday. I've been away for most of the summer and the water...

    My Garden Bird Studio Setup

The garden set up looks good. You seem to attract a good range of species. The hummingbird like bird is most likely a purple sunbird. Outside the breeding season both male and female are a yellow and brown colour. In the breeding season the males turn a gorgeous iridescent purple all over.

    White-throated Munia

Lovely pictures with the first looking fantastic. I'm inclined to share dinners thoughts that these are probably Indian Silverbills.

    Do Clipped Wings Work?

Nice and sharp. Clipped wings don't detract too much It's a western reef heron grey morph.

iPad or alternative (Nexus / Other)?

iPad air with retina is a very nice option. Coupled with an Apple TV you can stream pictures to the big screen. Limited expansion options although a wireless hard drive such as seagate go flex gives huge expansion potential Don't bother with a 16gb iPad as it's far to constrained as a stand...

    Heron, Bittern or ??????

Hi I think it's a juvenile black crowned night heron. Another possibility is a juvenile striated heron but going by the eye colour and bill shape and colour I'm more inclined to go with my first ID
