Who owns copyright of an image?

PETA is a UK charity. It has a US arm as well (presumably set up as a separate charity in that country), and indeed branches in other countries. http://www.peta.org.uk/about/ Its UK charity registration number is: 1056453 It is also a UK Ltd Company:03135903...

Who owns copyright of an image?

They are doing it in the US because the photographer is in the UK and relatively in-affluent (meaning it is more difficult to obtain US legal advice), making it more likely that he would buckle and allow them to win, thereby giving them the PR coup that they are seeking (all at his expense)...

Who owns copyright of an image?

Before going any further, I should say I am a firm believer in animal rights, however; Indonesia has various problems with animal protection issues, such as animals being used for street entertainment, and loss of habitats due to palm oil plantations. Despite this however, PETA see it as more...

Display of images in gallery / shop

No it is not reasonable. The usual way to sell prints through an outlet would be via sale or return. As others have said 20-50% commission (to the gallery) with 30% being the norm. You might occasionally see 50% + VAT in some places, however I must admit, I would not accept that personally...

    Indoor photos with no flash?

It was in reference to the comment about "lightening up in post production". Technically you can, but the darker an image, the more grain will be present when you come to lighten it up later on.

    Indoor photos with no flash?

Don't under expose too much. It makes the noise at high ISO significantly worse.

Handholding a sinar F would require biceps of a gorilla.

The Sinar F2 - A great camera for parties (according to Ebay)

It was the bit about using the Sinar at parties "because it used instant film" that really got me going. The instant film bit isn't strictly correct anyway. It can be used with a polaroid back to check exposure (assuming they still make the polaroid for it, which Im not sure is the case) however...

The Sinar F2 - A great camera for parties (according to Ebay)

I shoot a bit of large format and so was scouring the internet for some info. While doing so I came across this. Admittedly, some bits of it are correct, but others are..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/gds/Sinar-F2-Vs-Fujifilm-GX680-III-/10000000177819264/g.html

How do you get people to practice with?

To me there is only so far you can go learning with professional models. They ultimately know how to pose and respond to direction. The general public however are anything but that, and that is where interpersonal skills come in.

Beginner Ikea Ribba Frames (metric / odd mount sizes)

See here: http://www.reframingphotography.com/sites/default/files/user/web_137_T_hinge.jpg You are better using special hinging tape(stronger and acid free). Art shops may sell it, but often it is easier to source online as it is quite specialist.

    Picture frames

Depends on what you want in terms of quality, but it is fair to say that the mouldings you find from places like IKEA will be cheap plastic/mdf coated ones which tend to warp / are not rigid in some cases (disconcerting if they have glass in them). Like most things, you get what you pay for...
