Thanks for the responses re: lens cover. It looks like there's nothing between them. The OFG cover is slightly cheaper but the WWS includes TC cover (which I'm also looking at) so work out the same :thinking: Going slightly off topic....has anyone got/used the 1.4x extender? I will mostly use...

I'm looking to buy a cover and after a search on this thread two have come up: Outdoor Photography Gear and Wildlife Watching Supplies. They're both similarly priced around £35 and patterned so undecided which to go for. For those that own either one of these what are your opinions on them...

For those that remember the good old Rallyday at Castle Combe its probably best that it remains a memory. It's not been great the last few years but this year is just plain boring! There used to be real variety..great cars, great drivers and great action. Now it's literally the same 20 or so...

As with most things in life the longer the better (or so the misses says;)). I had a 400mm which was OK but still needed cropping. I now have the 600mm Sigma and although much better you still want more reach. The 270mm will be fine for display teams and heavies but for fast jets 400mm+ will...

This will be my 20th year of Rally GB. As minnnt said, get there as early as you can..preferably the night before if you can cope with sleeping in the car. In the good old days they used to run numerous stages each day so you could chase the front pack around but with the advent in recent years...

Not really...just the basic levels adjustment and sharpening. It's one thing that I want to get much more adept at but never get round to learning/practicing PP. There's some good tutorials on Youtube that help with the basics.

I bought the C at start of the year but not had many outings with it. I got the dock with the lens and set it to 'Dynamic' AF and Focus Priority as it would mainly be used for aviation and motorsport. When I did use it I didn't feel that I was getting the results that some have on here...

Cracking set once again! Must be the first set on here where at least two wheels are off the road in every stage pic. Looks like a great rally to spectate with so much action.
