The Fabulous Fuji X owners thread

After a prolonged absence I've picked up an X100F at a bargain price, I'd been eyeing up the X100V but the switch to touchscreen put me off and then I was offered an X100F for less than half of what an X100V was going to cost me so I went for it. I was shooting with a Leica Q2 for quite a while...

Picking my Q2 up on Friday on the way to Japan for two weeks, saved 15% by getting it duty-free so it's almost a bargain

    Fujifilm X-H1

I was lucky, sold the X-H1 just before the price was slashed but it certainly has put me off buying another Fuji at launch as the cashback deals came along within months and the price dropped much sooner than expected. I still think the IBIS makes the X-H1 the better camera than the X-T3 in...

Zeiss announces ZX1 full-frame compact camera

I think this looks interesting but the size rules it out for me and I'd be nervous about the Android-based OS as well as the overall feel that it's trying too hard to solve a problem that doesn't exist in terms of in-camera editing. We all have smartphones/tablets these days that are better...

Thanks for sharing Dan, even the 12500 might be usable with some NR work, certainly good enough for B&W and most importantly the banding that ruined some of my original Q shots seems delightfully absent!

So jealous, I'd preordered in New Zealand but no word on delivery as yet and I'm considering asking them to hold it for a few weeks as I can claim back 15% of the price due to flying overseas next month. Would love your feedback when you get it, loved my original Q but health issues forced me...

    Fujifilm X-H1

I find the weight is very similar once you pop a lens on it, the size is a very individual choice. I stick a grip on pretty much every mirrorless camera I buy so for me the X-H1 is ideal as it's got a proper grip in the first place :)

The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Oh dear, he really lost me when he said the A7iii had "2x the image quality" of the X-H1 "because the sensor is twice as big". I don't mind Tony but that video is clearly just aimed at getting him some referral sales and/or a kickback from Sony. That said, I do wish Fuji would steal some of the...

    Fujifilm X-H1

I'd describe the AF has very good, my wife is fussy about AF speed and she's happy shooting with the X-H1. It's not D500 speed but I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

If you already have a decent number of Fuji lenses then I think the IBIS alone makes it a worthy upgrade especially if the rumours are true that the X-T3 won't have IBIS.

    Fujifilm X-H1

AF seems pretty much the same as my X-Pro2/X-T2 (now sold). It might be a touch quicker due to the faster processor and I understand there are more PDAF points so that will make a difference depending on how you shoot. For me the main draw of the X-H1 was the IBIS and better handling due to the...

Personally I'd rather have a comp dial too but I think the idea is it gives more flexibility as it can be customised for video and stills. It's growing on me if only because it's active even when the camera is off so you can see instantly how much battery life you have which is kind of handy.

    Official Fuji X-Pro 2 thread

A bit of a steal at that price/condition, grab a used lens or two and worst case you sell them when you get back and you might even cover a bit of beer money for the trip.

    Fujifilm X-H1

Not noticed it although I am half deaf, I asked the wife just now and she hasn't noticed it so it's either very quiet or we have a noisy house. I will say from experience that everyone's tolerance of lens/body noise varies a lot, the only lens I ever thought was noisy was the Fuji 35 F1.4 which...
