Thanks for sharing Dan, even the 12500 might be usable with some NR work, certainly good enough for B&W and most importantly the banding that ruined some of my original Q shots seems delightfully absent!

I find the weight is very similar once you pop a lens on it, the size is a very individual choice. I stick a grip on pretty much every mirrorless camera I buy so for me the X-H1 is ideal as it's got a proper grip in the first place :)

I'd describe the AF has very good, my wife is fussy about AF speed and she's happy shooting with the X-H1. It's not D500 speed but I think you'd be pleasantly surprised.

If you already have a decent number of Fuji lenses then I think the IBIS alone makes it a worthy upgrade especially if the rumours are true that the X-T3 won't have IBIS.

AF seems pretty much the same as my X-Pro2/X-T2 (now sold). It might be a touch quicker due to the faster processor and I understand there are more PDAF points so that will make a difference depending on how you shoot. For me the main draw of the X-H1 was the IBIS and better handling due to the...

Personally I'd rather have a comp dial too but I think the idea is it gives more flexibility as it can be customised for video and stills. It's growing on me if only because it's active even when the camera is off so you can see instantly how much battery life you have which is kind of handy.

A bit of a steal at that price/condition, grab a used lens or two and worst case you sell them when you get back and you might even cover a bit of beer money for the trip.
