    Help with gift for friend

Thanks I will have a look into that lens. I did offer him the cash but he did not want to accept cash, which I can understand. I will ask him though if there is a particular one he has been looking at.

    Help with gift for friend

Hi, Looking for a bit of advise. I am looking to buy a friend who has helped me out recently a gift of a macro lens (for Canon body) my budget is £150 max. This can be either new or second hand. What would be your recommendations? Many thanks.

    abbotsbury swan santuary

Nice shots and crikey thats a lots of swans! On #1 - Its a shame some of the swans are chopped in half round the edges of the photo, but with so many swans around I guess this unavoidable! maybe cloning out some of the swans around the edges would look nice so that only full bodies were in shot.

    some more fungi!

Thanks guys, I can see where your coming from with #1, may try again with smaller oof fungi in the foreground and larger in focus fungi in the background. After looking again with fresh eyes I agree completly on the tightness of the crops and will adjust these later. I have no problem with...

    Jaguar XJ

Nice car, My first thought was the open space is on the wrong side if you had some open space on the left rather than the right it may give the illusion of space to move into. This may not be possible as I don't know whether you have any extra "left hand side" in the original image. Other than...

    white stars amongst the greenery

The one thing I notice straight off is that the fern leaves on both sides are chopped off, I know its only slight but my eyes were drawn straight to them. Other than that I like it love the vast array of greens within the image.

    Any fungi fans

Thanks Dave, firstly I will apologise for the photos as I only have my phone camera with me today so the quality isn't great. I tried to get at least one of each different type I could spot. I am thinking of coming to work tomorrow with my proper camera and trying to get some decent shots. If...

    Any fungi fans

Hi, hope you all don't mind me asking here but as your Fungi fans I thought it would be a good place to ask. The lawns at my work place are covered in hundreds of mushrooms and other fungi, from big ones/smalls ones fat ones and skinny ones! and I think it looks great, although the gardener...
