    Costco SD cards

So I've bought almost every SD card I've bought in the last five years from Costco as their prices are normally on a par with Amazon and Mymemory, and from experience Sandisk are most reliable, so I've stuck with that brand. Wanted some up to date SD cards for a do on Saturday as I've been...

Pretty sure apple were selling a re-branded Zhiyun 3-axis phone stabiliser for a while, they just get stranger with their affiliations. I'm thinking DJI are at "peak drone" presently, so attaching themselves to the apple brand will likely do them well in the short to medium term. Whether or not...

Staufanbiel in Germany have it for £307 until 7th January. Quite tempted. I've bought bits from them before, they're good and reliable. Sometimes get emails in German but thats what Google Translate is for

I'm certainly not laughing, the cult of DJI is strong in this thread... How are you finding the Breeze? I have a Typhoon Hex for "serious" droning, and a Blade Chroma that lives in the back of the car but take up some vital boot space. Is the Breeze "responsive" from the app? I'm too used to...

Also worth noting that ZeroTech, them of the Dobby, don't have an EU distributor at present, so warranty issues might be a PITA. I've only have reason to get in touch with Yuneec UK customer service once, but they got back to me quickly and efficiently, so +1 for that. And the camera angle on...

Yup, I reckon the Breeze is the more capable of the two, the attraction of the Dobby is just now small it is, footage is electronically stabilised again, but I've found smaller size means greater tolerance. If I'm out messing in the garden with my little Hubsan people tend to be amused by it...

I'm debating one of these versus the Dobby. The IS issue is a complete non-starter for this class of drone, these are meant for s***s and giggles, not documentary film making. If it's being offered at a good price you'll easily recoup your money If you don't like it, most likely from me :D

GoPro Karma drones apparently beimg recalled due to motor shut-off issue mid-flight. http://www.theverge.com/2016/11/10/13588396/gopro-karma-drone-recall-defect-shut-off-falling-video

FWIW this is my first ever flight with the Typhoon a few weeks back, filmed in 1080p60 and edited with Movie Maker. The only editing was cutting scenes together (rather poorly lol), other than that the footage is as it came out of the camera. View: https://youtu.be/gWeT5NmT_8k

That's interesting actually, so much of my footage is wider than I'd like, but for some reason cropping never entered my head... Will have a go with 4K on the Chroma and experiment. Cheers for the tip PC is a bit older so may struggle, i5-4690 but set up for over clocking by the supplier, 16gb...

Not a phantom user (other brands are available heheh), but like StuartH I go for 1080p 60FPS to allow some overhead for slow-mo, 4K seems pointless for me at the moment as I don't own 4K anything, but appreciate the ability to use it in the future with both of my drones. I only fly/shoot for...

I was going to suggest the Hubsan H107D which I own and is great fun, but this Cheerson definitely looks like a great idea for starting out. The biggest difference is that the Hubsan has its own dedicated LCD display, whereas the Cheerson uses a smartphone for display which I assume your...

    The Official Fuji X10/X20/X30/XF1/XQ1 Thread

I think it's been archived, but I had a post up in freebies for a free X10 case (may fit later models IDK). It's brown, it's not OEM, but it will protect an X10, and best of all: it's free. Anyone?

I'm not sure what point you think I've missed? I'm pointing out that a larger quad not made specifically for racing can fly in the same manner as an FPV racer, the Chroma could conceivably be considered both a 3D flier and GPS camera platform. As I said, I'm reasonably sure the earlier Phantoms...

    The General Drone-Related Thread

Not strictly true, as a Chroma user with the right setup I can switch apparently GPS off and mess with my rates for a more "dynamic" type of flight than people are used to with a GPS-enabled quad. Have I tried this? Of course not! I do have two of them and a suitable radio though, so I could...
