Cheers all for the input. I'm not going to go with an slr style camera. I'll go with a compact that can take a few drops and resist sticky fingers etc. but I want hi to experience it and have fun as he really loves watching me take photographs.
Once again, thanks for the input..!
I'd suggest getting a good book to teach you the basics of exposure and how to adjust the 3 factors. I recommend 'understanding exposure' by Bryan Peterson.
Have fun and practice!
Thanks guys for the input. I agree, I should feel confident in something that I'm not to concerned about as I can see a few drops and scrapes happening.
Let's see lol
Cheers

Cheers bud.
I know it probably sounds silly but he loves being out with me whilst photographing and when I have been brave enough to let him have a go, he has shown an eye for a nice image.
Don't want to spend over £150 all in.
Hi, not really sure where to post this so apologies if this is the wrong section.
My 4yr old son really wants a camera like me and I'd like to make his wish come true at Christmas. I'm just not sure what to get him. I don't want to spend much and I don't want to get a children's play camera...
Agree that the image looks too saturated and maybe worth posting a version with the sky desaturated.
Great image though!
Can I ask the location. Do you have a reference?
Cheers
Mark
TBH not bad at all. People were saying the AF is slow but I believe these comments were towards the 7D..?
Im no expert but seemed good to me. I'd try / hire one first.
