I use Cowasakis script writer. It works in photoshop and also photoshop elements. Its a bit fiddly to start with, but works really well once you figure it out :)
I had wanted to shoot a candid for this theme but I was unsure how. With no other ideas I was going to turn out my pockets and take a self-portrait. Then fortune farted in my direction once again and I came down with the flu. However, I still managed to get out and about to visit a museum. One...
Awesome idea :) Simple and effective. The contrast is just right and the detail is ace. Cant help thinking I want the whole of that front penny in focus but then again maybe not.
I'm with richpips on this one. Practice your panning with slightly slower shutter speeds. Use flash to catch the person in focus while leaving the background blurred due to the panning. Get a sense of movement into the image that way - richs black and white photo has great focus on the face and...
Thanks all for your comments on Wisdom :)
Well - had no time to go out and take proper photos last week, but I did take a few snaps during a stag party. One fitted the 'relationships' bill. The story of one man and his hat. The hat was purchased from behind a bar in some nightclub/meatmarket...
Welcome! Good image I think - quite a warm feel to it, not just because of the colour tint, but because of the topic :)...
As for being late - well - now you're ahead of the game - hardly any of us have done our 'relationships' photos yet!
Definitely prefer the new version - the ghosting on the other one was too much. I think you tonemapped well to bring out the right amount of detail on the griffin - brill :) I really like the silvery feel of the statue - the HDR really brings out the texture. Good shot!
Great shot - sounds like hard work getting the lighting right - but I think you managed :). I really like the fuzz on the thread - I want to see closer! The composition is great, but I want to get in closer still! Nice pearl of wisdom, although in your case, it sounds like capturing a stitch in...
I had a good chuckle when I saw this - as did my wife who thought it was a great image :) Certainly a pearl of wisdom... nicely composed and I like the splash of the wave. Its almost like the sea represents wisdom and you're not allowed to go in and paddle. I.e. wisdom comes to those who wait...
This is a very striking image - very arty! Again - not sure about pearls of wisdom, mainly cos they look more like beads than pearls... but still good thinking on the theme! I dont think the image would have worked as well if you could see the colour of the pearls etc. - I think the blue hue...
This is a wicked image - he's/she's looking straight through us! Again - dont like the writing there - would have been better written in the border. Nice :)
Can't believe I missed your identity shot - its great fun. Hope no animals of humans were harmed in the making of that photo! I think I would have toned the red down to make it darker, but other than that - great!
As for using a shot of TP for wisdom - well - its a great shot - I like the...
I kind of like this image - no idea why I should like a picture of some clothes and an iron - but its quite charismatic and honest :). I can see where you're coming from on wisdom - but to me it is talking more about life. I.e. there's a never ending stream of crap that we have to deal with, but...
Well - bang on the money there - good image although I wondered to myself how it would look being slightly more muted in colour. Thats just me though - I love the textures on the hair and of the well worn metal. We all learnt something too!
Bruja,
yes - 42 is the answer to the ultimate question. Thats the whole point of this image - let me explain...
No-one knows why 42 is the ultimate answer - it's one of life's great mysteries and Douglas Adams is no longer around to enlighten us as to why 42. So you can be as wise as you like...
