I've had this on my mind for some time now and really need help with it. I mostly shoot my photos in Raw, do some editing in PSE and some other stuff in CS3, even when in 8bit mode to save as jpeg (always max size ie=12) for posting, the 8bit saved jpeg file (say a megabtye large) is so sharp...

It would be great to have an old ford sign in the photo or something because at present it has no relation (to me) to being a misused car factory. Also, as mentioned, the bright blue sky takes away from the 'run-down' look. Another point if you don't mind me saying, is there's a lot more...

I didn't add that effect, that's if it is an effect though, it may have happened from then thedodo played with the image for me and darkened the scene/played with levels/contrast ect.

Thanks, I must admit the joint line with the crane wasn't intentional at least not consciously but did think it I nice compostion. It's fine thanks for doing so, I personally think its a bit too over the top contrast wise, and as for the cranes removal I like the idea of taking out the two...
