The Amazing Sony A1/A7/A9/APS-C & Anything else welcome Mega Thread!

Has anyone read if the Sony LA-EA5 will be supported fully on the A6400 or not? Would be great to use some of my older screw drive AF lenses with it but I don’t think it’s looking likely.

I’m enjoying the Sony 70-350mm, looks like a nice replacement for my old Sigma 100-300. Lacks the constant f4 of the Sigma but so far I like the results.

I’d hoped to test my Sony 70-350mm today but the weather was shocking here and rained for most of the day. Captured these photos in a very brief moment when birds visited the garden, sadly a neighbour was making lots of noise so the birds didn’t stay for long. Nothing special but thought I’d...

Yes that’s the configuration I was meaning. The dial setup on the A6400 is terrible compared with the A77. I’ll get used to it but it’s a backwards step.

Double dial would be my preferred setup, it’s a feature I miss when I moved from the A77 to my A6400. The joystick was great too.

I will hopefully find some time to test it more thoroughly this weekend and will be sure to post some photos if I do.

Recently bought the Sony 70-350mm G OSS lens and I’m very impressed with the image sharpness and focus speed when paired with my A6400. This is the first native telephoto lens I’ve purchased for E mount, previously I’d used a Sigma 100-300 f4 with my recently sold A77. I’d hoped the new LA-EA5...

Perfect, I've ordered the official Sony hotshoe adapter.

Has anyone tried the Sony ADP-MAA adapter for using the old Minolta flash mount on the new MI mounts? Thinking of buying one so I can continue to use my F58AM flash with my new A6400. I also see another version of the adapter made by Pixel, model TF-335.

Apologies, I had neglected to say in my post it is a A6400 I have purchased. I could have sworn I'd typed that!!

Yes it’s my favourite and most used lens on my A77 so I’ll definitely be buying the adapter to make use of it on the A6400.

I’ve finally made the move to a E mount body having bought a A6400 to replace my A77 as my main camera. For now I’ll have to use my existing A mount lenses with it using the LAEA3 adapter. The body included the 16-50mm kit lens. Initial impressions are very positive, the AF system is excellent...

    torchlight

I had read about the many fake versions of these torches before purchasing so I made sure to buy directly from a authorised stockist. The power output and length of light beam is astonishing when outdoors. The wide open beam in your photos is not as solid a area as my torch but not far off of...

I own a LED Lenser MT7 which is rated at 220 Lumens and is a fantastic little torch. Very useful for light painting. Well above your £20 budget though. I previously owned a P7 but lost it!
