    Giotto's MTL9351 B Tripod + MH5011 Three Way Head Kit.

Giotto's MTL9351 B Tripod + MH5011 Three Way Head Kit. Currently a lightning deal on Amazon. I have £30 in vouchers, so could get this for £54.99. Is it any good for a general purpose tripod/head? Edit: Sorry, due to the timer on the deal I jumped straight in with a thread asking the...

    Amazon Lightening deal -L lenses

I've been dithering between the Canon M56 and Panasonic V700 recently (camcorders). Similar prices and each with £50 cashback offers at the moment. I had decided to buy the V700 as it had a wider angle lens, but then saw the Lightning Deal on the M56 and a saving of £100 was too much to resist...

    Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM £595.00 (£550 with Canon cashback)

This must be the lowest it's ever been. How come? Now, what I can sell to cover the cost of buying this...

Taking photographs and policing etc ...

Then why not have your day in court instead of running with the cash?

    Canon 24-105L or Canon 15-85

There's no other reason is there? L lenses are the same as non-L, it's just the price and that little red ring that differs.

    Canon 24-105L or Canon 15-85

If I order from amazon within the next few hours I can have one in my hands tomorrow morning. The 24–105 is in stock, but listed as may take 3-4 days extra. I'm going away this weekend and would love to have it in time for then. So that's another tick in the 15–85 box.

    Canon 24-105L or Canon 15-85

I know it's an older thread, but I'm considering these two lenses at the moment. The current Canon cashback is making it a tough decision though. As soon as I come close to clicking the button on the 15-85 I waiver and think how nice it would be to have the L. Then I have second thoughts about...

    Employment law

What he said. You haven't actually said if there were any loading restrictions and if you broke them. As has already been stated, parking on double yellows doesn't necessarily mean anything when it comes to loading. (Which a few people in this thread appear ignorant of.) If the ticket was...

    In dispute with jessops

What sort of warranty will any repair work come with? I'd want a new replacement, but if that was unobtainable I'd want the repaired camera to have a fresh one year warranty. Push for the new replacement.

"Collusion for Chrome" track the trackers.

I have a few browser add-ons which block scripts and adverts. I believe av forums restrict access to users that use such things. I wonder if TP will follow?

    RAW still worth it?

Surely that's a totally different issue though? Over-writing the source file? I manipulate images, raw & jpeg, but never over-write the original. To do do is just silly, stupid and asking for trouble.

Any experience of one-shot panoramic lenses?

I thought I'd wake up this thread to see if anything had changed over the last couple of years. I've just been looking at one of these and wondered if anyone had any experience of it. http://www.pano-pro.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=61_20

Whoooooosh! Virgin just upgraded me from 20meg to 60meg for FREE!

Virgin's quoted speeds and all the upgrades sound great. But when I was with them they 'managed' traffic so much it became useless. They seemed more interested in grabbing headlines - quantity, not quality. Pity, as I used to be very, very happy with cable back in the days of...

Given a parking ticket for being one minute late

Agreed. Maybe you could ask to see the documentation proving all time pieces used by the Warden are calibrated and synchronised? Like speed cameras have to be? As you don't think you were late back, i.e. it was 1600, not 1601. Even if it gets you nowhere, make them work for their money! The...

    Cloud storage

Another Crashplan user here. Very cost effective, relatively easy to use and very clever piece of software. I'm one year into a four year subscription and have no complaints. It has taken a while to upload 1.2 tb of data though! :-) I also have other backup solutions. Never rely on just the...
