Think the first one would work better with a lower angle, go for f2.8 and focus on the guy walking rendering foreground and background out of focus. Perhaps use a grad filter to enhance sky. Just play with it a bit. IMHO.

I think it depends on how you would assess your own level of competence and ability, owing a D7000 i'm kinda used to cleaning the sensor now :) use the sensor swabs and eclipse fluid method, takes about 5 minutes.
I purchased my D7000 from the local jessops and a 35mm 1.8G lens, no issues with the store, staff do have some general knowledge about what they are selling and did not try to steer me in the direction of any other brands, let me make my own mind up. I hate places like comet / currys where the...
Thanks for input folks, will be having a mess around with this image over the weekend to try and sharpen it up a bit and a bit more cropping. Might try a B&W conversion too. Will see what time I have as will be messing around with a Nikon P7100 over the weekend also.
