Hello,
Anyone been here for a full day outing? What focal lengths would you recommend on FX? I've got 70-200 2.8, 300mm 2.8, and 500mm 2.8 that I could take for the day. Not sure how far they are letting the birds fly out and returning.
I do see what you are saying. Interestingly enough, the only shadow that is mine in here is the tripod which I could work on. I was out of the picture and sun areas with a remote shutter. The unevenness of the land has given off some of that shadow unfortunately.
75th Anniversary D-Day Celebrations here in England. These are a combination of Douglas C-47 Skytrain and Dakota aircraft. These have flown in from around the world so this was a massive undertaking.

I made it out there as well. It didn't rain once in 4 days. Almost didn't think I was in Scotland.

From the top of Sgùrr Alasdair looking down towards Glenbrittle Camp Site. Light wasn't the best but the view made up for it.
I know you ordered the Sigma but I was going to say that although the Nikon 24 1.4 is very sharp, it exhibits coma for the night sky photography. For this reason I purchased the 20mm 1.8 (not a typo). It's very light but not weather sealed.
I have the Nikon 24 1.4. I like it because of how...
