To give you some background as a learner 4 years ago I jumped straight from auto to manual mode so have never even turned my camera to any of the 'priority' modes. As a wedding photographer shooting in manual has always been fine, but can be a bit hit and miss with frequently changing light...

The annoyance being with the HSS that it'll only work on the Canon (and therefore more expensive) flashes as well as with the more pricey triggers. I'll keep on testing, as you say maybe see what result I get with the slaves. Oh and yes it works fine up to 1/250th on camera.
