Advice - Photographing a golf course

Thanks, having had a look at what I can find about the course, it's very much what this website would describe as 'Heath', quite flat, not a large amount of trees. Good shout, I've just seen a few on Flickr, I guess this sort of thing would be nice to try and capture. golf course by etienne...

Advice - Photographing a golf course

Thanks. I think one of the larger challenges is going to be taking care over framing of shots. I'm much more used to a fire and forget method of shooting. Do many people use tripods and play around with longer exposures much?

Advice - Photographing a golf course

Thanks for taking the time to put that together, it's actually quite thought provoking. I see what you mean about the rule of thirds and how it give too much fairway. I really like the one from the tee looking back at the clubhouse, that's the sort of stuff I have in my head (along with sunrise...

Advice - Photographing a golf course

It's a flat and woody course. The brief is very open, they'd just like some photos that capture the course for use around the clubhouse / venue. In terms of the timing, that's up to me. So I can be there before, during or after play. Thanks to the previous post as well, I don't have much in...

Advice - Photographing a golf course

I'm after a little advice, I've been asked to take photos of a golf course that a friend works at. I'm not that used to taking landscape stuff, so I'd be looking for a little advice from those who do this a lot more than I do :) I'd guess that the basics would be that small aperture, therefore...

    Flickr Album Sharing

That's my point. The last two albums I've made, don't have that option. For some reason I can't share them, even though the privacy is set to public. Have a look at the attached image in my last post.

    Flickr Album Sharing

You'd think? That's why I am asking. The last two albums I've made have been hidden from public view and I can't see why. This is what I get when I grab the link, all the options are greyed out:

    Flickr Album Sharing

Does anybody know if it's possible to share an album on Flickr with somebody who isn't a member? I can't seem to even email a link from the sharing section of my album.

    Motorway at night

For me you have a lot of black at the top of the shot. Maybe you could try and either tighten in or crop it. The sky is interesting when you have objects (planes, stars, moon etc) but just as black it takes too much away from the area of interest.

    Focus screen for 5dMk2

Does anybody know of a decent quality replacement focus screen for the 5dMk2? I have a bunch of manual lenses that I would like to use and since Brightscreen closed for business I'm not sure where to look. It would be nice to hear first hand experiences if possible.

    Photos for printing

Thanks all, I don't mind you saying that you don't like it. Saying "They are wonderful" isn't what I came here for! I guess you did have to be there for them, it's about the memories that they bring back. I'll have a quick fiddle with them and see how they work out.

    Photos for printing

My wife and I are trying to find some nice photos of ours that we can put on the wall. We've been lucky enough to travel a lot and most of the photos we have picked so far are from our travels. However, we would like to add a little more to each photo, so your thoughts and comments would be...
