    Canon ef-s 15-85 f3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens

Just got back from a long trip. Yes, got a price and bought the lens from Kerso, rapid service arrived before I left. I've not used it a huge amount while away as I find ships and cameras don't mix too well especially in bad weather, but in my limited experience I'm pleased I made this choice...

    Buying a Diamond ring?

Do they treat diamonds as well? I knew they heat treated coloured stones to change the colour. Modern diamonds have reference numbers etched in now I think, antique or old cut stones won't. In the case of diamonds I would want brilliant cut so I wouldn't be looking for really old pieces. I've...

    Buying a Diamond ring?

Have you considered buying an antique or secondhand ring? The diamond and the gold are already millions of years old, and you can get a much better deal. The intended recipient may or may not have a problem with it, but it could mean they get a much more impressive rock. Another alternative is...

    Warehouse Express

If you haven't had an email confirming your order and advising of despatch I don't see how you expect it to turn up at all. You should have got onto WHE as soon as you realised you had no order confirmation.

what case for Canon EF100 f2.8 macro?

What lens case would fit my Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro? I rarely use this lens but I don't want to get rid of it, I'm sure it will get more use in future. However it lives in its box at the moment as i have no space for it in my lowepro Vertek and I have no other bag for it. what camera...

Yes, it was a bit of fun, but some people take all this way too seriously.

    Should I take the D40 to S.Africa?

I doubt your travel insurance will give you sufficient cover, but check. You should have it insured on the all risks part of your house insurance.

Something like that happened to the guy who invented the sewing machine didn't it? Gave up and went on a round the world trip, came back to find the Singer company making a fortune. Settled out of court quite amicably though I think.

Jealous about the leopard, never seen one in the wild despite several safaris. i rather like the shot too, it's the way you expect to see one, a glimpse through the bushes.(and very in focus)

oh dear, some people really do take life too seriously. I like the last bit about Banks though, it is true we have a lot to thank Scots for RBS, HBoS

    Should I take the D40 to S.Africa?

Yes, Garden route lovely, and you haven't lived until you have tackled the Swartberg Pass in a Nissan Tilda (once in the dark and again in the daylight) Go to Addo Elephant park too, that's not too far from Durban. that's what gave us the enthusiasm for self drive safari, next time it was...

    Should I take the D40 to S.Africa?

I've never been to Durban, but I've had a couple of long hols in South Africa and one in Namibia. They told us to leave our rolexes behind and don't take expensive cameras. We ignored them all. just take the normal precautions you would anywhere about not leaving stuff on show in the car, not...
