Cheers for the replies thus far all. The reason I wanted manual control was plans to teach lighting techniques and long exposures to show movement etc.
Spose I could have a rethink. Its all up in the air atm as to how many and how long etc.
Im tasked with buying some camera for a school photography club. Ideally looking for something with full manual control and focus. MP hugeness not important, more about technique than size.
Any ideas? Id thought about used 350d's or 20d's but are there any compacts etc I should check out...
Does anyone have a repair manual or has ever taken apart a 580? Its packed in again after its swim. Ive got as far as removing all the screws and nearly splitting it but there seems to be a catch or something keeping it from splitting into two. Ideas?
Cheers all, link 2 above could be a winner, although saying that could do with a spare. Ill contact them re a few as its the pnp that costs evidently..
My 7D has gone pop after 15 months. Typical no power fault, and I'm assuming the DC board as is well documented.
I'm going to attempt to return it and see if they will accept it as not fit for purpose.
Has anyone else had similar with Canon and had an easy ride?
Thought id have a blat at this as my mates been asking for ages. So after a few pints happened to have the camera in the car, quick five minute shot to test before we take it into town for a more interesting background.
Any comments of what to keep and eye on next time?
