    Black Background in a Lightbox

Hello, I've got a lightbox with a black background, but I'm only getting grey with my phone. Can someone advise on the best way to get a black background in a lightbox? I have 2 movable LED strips that are dialled down to minimum and I tend to take photos with my phone (although it does have...

Stuff on inside of front lens

That is the lights on the lowest power. :/ As I said, TINY space (end of dining room table in a cramped room!) so the lights are close... I've picked up a 17-70mm macro that hopefully will be a big improvement and easier for jewellery photography... Pity, though, the broken one is a Sigma...

Stuff on inside of front lens

It's the white dots - they're obvious on F16-F32, and I'm having to use that high as I'm shooting with studio lights in a very small area, so they're quite close, for jewellery shots. It's definitely those bits as they match the blurry dots...

Stuff on inside of front lens

It's blobs - hazy blobs, that get more sharp the more flash goes into the lens. They appear to 'match' the marks on the inside of the lens, and don't occur on other lenses.

Stuff on inside of front lens

Damn - there's no way to take the front element off? It's definitely on the lens. I can check the sensor but it doesn't always show up & only when there's a lot of light from the flash?

Stuff on inside of front lens

Hi, I've got a limited number of lenses now, and I'm taking pics of jewellery in a studio set up. My 17-55 (I think) has 'stuff' (dust? fungus?) on the inside of the front lens which is affecting the photos - is there any easy way to get this off? Or a guide on how to do this? Thanks!

    Twilight Pier

Maybe put the pier on a 1/3 line and have it end on a 1/3 line, but love the colours - fantastic shot. :)

Canon 1000d - too basic to start with?

I started with a 1000D. I produced a photobook with it that sells for £16.99 RRP in local bookshops & in Amazon (NOT self-published...) If it's good enough for that... :P I've upgraded to a 40D only because I wanted spot metering and a few other tweaks, but the 1000D is a very nice bit of kit...

Confidence knocked - Getting back in the saddle?

Hi, I had my confidence knocked in December badly and I've barely used my camera since... Combine that with it being unlikely I'll be attending my main photographic subject events this year and I'm struggling to get back into the hobby... Anyone got any hints & tips? I'm just totally lacking...

Doing a '52' would be great. Also, get my photography business more promoted and going for it... Finally, do my gothic fairytale photoshoot and get the shots I can see in my head. :)

    Music on websites?

Ick. Ick. Ick. Music = horrible. Fellow tog I know has music on his site... It's... distracting, irritating, and makes me turn the site off. I often have TV on as well in my browser and music drowns it out...
