The classic sunbathers shot at Monaco - where's it taken from?

It is but you access it from beau rivarge . They are models / friends of the photographers too , no one is normally there unless it's been organised before hand as it's far to noisy . Hope that helps

Lighting a car, what studio equipment?

Since when can't you shoot cars using speed lights? 600ws is nice but 1- its not going to be enough to light a car well when you start working with diffusers 2- You don't need 600ws Sure I always prefer to shoot with 12000ws heads when I can (actually I prefer working with bounced natural...

    European Finals - Santa Pod

A fuel car uses a pair of 100 gal pumps , the fuel line has come off before the barrel valve so no matter what he does the with the throttle it won't effect fuel flow as its crank driven. Only thing natass could of done is to have leaned the motor out , however he would of been trying to idle it...

polarizing filter use during track days

Used well the negative effects of a CP can hidden enough not to cause a distraction in the image. Personally I'd prefer to see into a cockpit with a little bit of 'rainbowing' around the edges that just have a full on reflection obscuring the windscreen.

polarizing filter use during track days

Yep use one all the time, cloudy or sunny it helps cuts down on the reflections boosts saturation and helps but the track surface back to being black. Just don't do the daft thing and buy cheep, you spend 1000's on cameras and lenses to go compromise it with a poorly constructed filter.

    F1 Photography

The Parabolica is a 150mph corner, the fastest on on the f1 circus in fact, to track them at those sorts of speeds is tricky, especially if you've never shot motor sport before. Basic settings wise you want to be using a single focus point with a focusing mode that will track, what your aiming...

    Abu Dhabi

Yes its a twilight race. However the lights they use on track are pretty impressive. To give you a guide to the ambient light levels during the race. last year I was using 1/400 f5.6 at ISO 1250 for a fairly stock shot. I'd also recommend using spot metering will save you having to chimp to get...
