Hi Guys,

Can anybody recommend a good screen protector for the 7D?

Do you guys just use the stuff that is like a mobile phone screen protector, or like a rubber clip on accessory that I have seen on some Nikons?

Thanks.

Got a Giottos glass one for my 5DMkII - it's excellent. Cost about £15 from Amazon(y)

GGS (or GCS) glass screen protector - fits very neatly and does a good job.
Not too expensive either if you get them off the 'bay. Plastic film type are pants in comparison.

I have had a cracking set on mine for 6 months, they haven't scratched, can't be seen and haven't peeled at all.

I ordered 4/5 at the time to make it worth getting them shipped from US.

Sold 2 on here and the other members loved them too.

Might still be able to find the spare I kept because I don't think I'll be using it! Let me know if you're interested :) I can highly recommend them though!

There is one for the back screen and one for the top screen.

Don't you have to stick that on, though?

Yeah but none of the Amazon reviewers seems to have had a problem applying them to the LCD.

I've never actually seen these before today but have read people's reviews online saying they are a waste of time. Apparently Canon use a protective cover over many of their DSLR LCDs. I'm not sure if that's true so can't really comment with any conviction.

How did you find applying the adhesive covers - was it tricky or hassle-free?

They are adhesive-free, attach using silicon and if peeled off they leave no marks or residue.

Doesn't the 7D come with a screen protector already fitted?

The screen on the 7D is already protected as standard - no real need for an additional after market one. Had my 7D for over a year & not a single scratch on it
