Oreo's are the best biscuit

I've yet to try a horrible biscuit.

Never tried Orio but I'm sure I'd enjoy them.

i have three oreos and a glass of milk right now to enjoy

I may treat myself to one when I get home. Only one mind...I have to behave :(

I don't get it at all? I had my first one the other day and they don't taste of anything? Is the biscuit part meant to taste like chocolate? There is only one true king of buscuits and thats a choc hob knob!

don't taste of anything? Sounds like you had a poor substitute for the oreo - was it called oero?

The biscuit bit is meant to taste the way it tastes, it's a bit like the way a chocolate sponge doesn't quite taste of chocolate.

It's the mix of the white stuff in the middle and the bourbon-like biscut side in a scrummy delicious biscuit sandwich type thing. Dip one in a glass of milk next time to really see the yummy lovelyness

I'm going to jump in here and cast a vote for the fig roll. Perhaps the most undervalued biscuit ever, and my absolute favourite.

Yeah, I know.

Urgh....I can't even bring myself to try something that looks so much like a dog biscuit :puke:

Fig rolls are great I love how you have to eat them all the first day otherwise they go hard.
I'm also a big fan of Royal Scot biscuits but unfortunatly they are no longer with us.
Ive never had an Oreo so I will try at some point but I doubt they will come close to fig rolls :)

:plus1: I like oreos anything by foxes hob nobs etc but I do find myself going back to plain good old bourbons and fig rolls now and then:)

(Round) Viscounts with the opposite ends nibbled off and tea sucked through them are very pleasant. Trouble is, when eaten like this they melt in the mouth instantly so a packet can be got through in a couple of minutes.

Ginger nuts! Shortcake!...... Oh and jammy dodger but the ones with cream too. Yummy!

Sorry, but that just looks like a house brick.

Yes, because it's crispy and crunchy - not soggy fake-biscuity wet cardboardyness that Oreo's are made out of!!!!

Oreo's are ok, if you leave them in the packet on the shelf at the supermarket.

Oreos look revolting. Like a charcoaled bourbon with some vile sickly white creme in the middle. :puke:

The king of dipping biscuits is the McVities Ginger Nut.

None dipping king is the malted milk.

Chocolate covered king is the choco liebniz.

:D

Or perhaps because it's made in the image of the thing it tastes like the most

McVities Chocolate shortbread FTW :)

dunking any kind of biscuit is just wrong IMHO :puke:

Are you mad? On another planet? The purpose of biscuits is too dunk! My girl doesn't like tea but makes a small cup purely to dunk! :)

Oreo's ? are they not the biscuits that make fat kids? :D

The bisuits I would eat are:

Ginger nuts
garibaldi
fig rolls
Tunnocks caramel wafers
Tunnocks tea cakes

my favourite is the one I have in my hand.

I cannot believe i took until the 52nd post, the king of biscuits! :notworthy:

If you like a bourbon then you should enjoy an Oreo. They have a lot in common. In fact I'd say that a bourbon is like a poor imitation of an Oreo.

Dunk in milk yes but I never understand people who dunk in tea. Hit drinks make the biscuits too soggy. Dunking in milk is better because you get the nice slightly soft touch but it's still got some crunch.

In milk it just seems alien to me tho I guess I can't knock it if I've never tried it

And those 2 years were all it took to improve on an already good recipe to perfection!

Or, depending on your point of view, remove all taste from the "biscuit" part, substitute the tasty cream with gritty, powdery nothingness, and add a little extra soggyness to boot.

Oreos also seem to gum my mouth up  (Mrs. OutLore says that's a good thing though)

Oreos being the best is not a point of view. It's a way of life! You just have to accept it!
