people using facebook to talk to the dead.. I mean ..seriously? I keep seeing people posting to dead people.. people who died years ago or recent.. sending them messages..

aaaargh...

Is there anyone theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere

Do they have computers in the afterlife?.....

Hope so or I'm not going.

:)

Don't you have to be at least brain dead to use Facebook anyway???

Here is a true story.

My best mate died at the age of 39 about 18months ago, this summer i was sitting fishing with my son when an email came through on my phone. The mail was from my dead friends account saying that he was at a great place & I was gonna love it when i got there.

Now obviously someone had hacked into his account & sent them out, but it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

The one that freaks me a bit is one of my mates uses his dead mums Facebook account.. Rather than start his own.

Blimey, that seems wrong on several levels.

People moarn in different ways.....if grieving publicly on Facebook works for them, then who are we to argue?!

That said, I don't enjoy reading it. "Unsubscribe" works a treat.

Mourning is one thing. Using your dead mother's Facebook account because you can't be arsed to open your own? No, I don't think so :nono:

Firstly, my comment was in reply to the OP.....secondly, how do you know he did that because he couldn't be "arsed"?!

The problem arises when the Facebook page of the person in question hasn't been memorialised. Once it has, posts there only appear in the Newsfeed of friends of the deceased.
Is it odd? Not at all in my opinion, it's just a new part of the mourning process and a way of expressing grief. I post on my wife's page frequently as it helps me put thoughts into words that the people who knew her will see, empathise with and understand.

Seems to be rather suggestive of it.

Seriously?!

You deduce from this....

The one that freaks me a bit is one of my mates uses his dead mums Facebook account.. Rather than start his own.

....that the reason the guy did that with his mums Facebook account was due to laziness????!!!!

Wow.....I think that says a lot more about you, than the above quote says about the guy mentioned in it!!!

Alright alright, you read it one way I'll read it another, OK? If making personal slights is your thing then that's fine. Jesus
