Do you still hang a stocking up? Iam looking for suggestions for fillers other than chocolate although i'll be saving space for some :)

I do put them up for the kids. Daughter this year is getting sweets (no chocolate) a scarf (she collects them) a pair of earings. And a promise note from me.

No kids, just me and the mrs i normally just cram them full of chocolate but fancy a change but it must be edible:)

Home made fudge!! coconut ice! maybe a small bottle of home made Irish cream

We have 3 - one each for us and one for the cat.

Ours have choccy, other snack stuff, and ironically, toothpaste, toothbrushes etc, lol...

John all easy to make wouldn't take very long....and special if you make them yourself

im 19, have a stocking to hang up. Its normally filled with choc, shower gel, hair gel, body spray, deo..etc the basic things needed plus 3-5 'gifts'!!!

ok buy good quality choc's and fudge ect.... the irish cream takes 10 mins to make. recipe in the TP cook book.. or buy a little bottle.. or half a bottle of bubbles for breakfast.

Other half and I do stockings for each other - tbh they are more santa sacks than stockings. They usually have books, sweets, shower stuff, and a few bigger gifts like X-Box games / Blu rays / cinema vouchers.

Edit to say I kind of missed the point that you were asking for filler ideas - I would put in socks / hat / keyring / stationery stuff / sweets

*resists smutty inuendo* :naughty:

me and the missus do little ones, last year I got her one of those 40 piece wentworth jigsaws (she collects them) , a small blue nosed bear (ditto), a couple of maxi sized quality street, and a minature of amaretto

Undies? (I think Anne Summers stocks them).

I'm more a socks or long johns man - stockings are OK but people keep pinging my suspenders.

We still give our kids (25 & 21) stockings. They're filled with cheap stuff like car air fresheners, make up stuff etc etc from the pound shop and the like. We do though, always put an apple, an orange and a pack of peanuts to remind them of the stories my parents told us about what they used to get for Christmas. They always moan about them and remind us how old they are but they love the really useful stuff they get.
