Lightroom "edit in photoshop CC" doesn't work!!

It opens PS but never the image

I've done all sorts of googling that suggest that the camera RAW versions aren't right but they look like they are to me

Anyone else had this issue?? It used to work with CS6 and it worked when I first installed CC, but now it appears to have gone mental!
 
Which version of Lightroom do you have, the versions have to be pretty much the same for it to work. Has photoshop updated by anychance? Theres a new version of lightroom out fairly soon so that may fix the issue.
 
I'm using Lightroom 5.7.1 64-bit and Photoshop CC 14.2.1 (64 bit) with both Nikon and Panasonic RAW images. It works with both those formats and jpg too for me.

How are you opening them? The way I usually do it is as per the screenshot attached here. I just right click and use the context menu...

Just remembered I had this problem when I went to CC. Fine in Lightroom, tried to open in PS, PS opened but no image.
After a bit of a search it turned out my graphics card needed updating. This immediately solved the problem.
I'll see if I can find what I did! (Not particularly computer literate.)

Ok. Just found my notes.
I have a Dell XPS 8500 desk top which came with an AMD Radeon HD750 DDR5 graphics card.
I went on the AMD website http://support.amd.com/en-us/download
and updated from there to AMD Catalyst.
I found the whole process very straitforward.
