Yes
Does anyone know of a decent plugin/technique for doing batch red-eye removal over lots of photos?

Cheers

I can't image how that would be possible. It would have to use facial recognition, and even if there is such a thing, I wouldn't actually trust it.

If a photo is worth editing then surely it's worth removing red eye by hand?

Googling your request turned up software that claims to remove redeye from all your photos http://redeyebot.firmtools.com/
I've no idea if it works or not, frankly I have my doubts as the issue isn't as simple as just removing red from a pic.
Ideally try and take your pics without redeye, usually moving the flash away from the camera will help (or bouncing the light off walls ect) Thats not going to work of your using a compact or something with a fixed flash though.

Plus.... if you're getting so many images with red eye that you need something that can batch process them, then can I suggest you need to be looking at your lighting techniques to solve this problem, not processing?

If you're removing it from old images... just do it manually. Doesn't take long.

I downloaded that t test it. When it works, it works well, but it misses a great many if there are multiple people with red eye in the shot.

It got the kid's eyes in this one....

but missed the Dad's....

So if you can't trust it, you'll just end up manually going through them all again anyway.

You can't load a file into it, which is annoying. It ONLY works by searching a folder, which means in order to batch, you need copies of al the suspect files in a folder... very annoying.

I've un-installed it. It takes 10 seconds to remove red eye from a snapshot.
