London showreel - My new timelapse film

Cool, enjoyed that, especially the section on the train! Hell of a lot of work gone into that!

That's a great timelapse - very well done, worth all effort you put into it.

Stunning! It's like a British House of Cards opening sequence, if you've ever watched it?

I especially liked the craning bit, not sure where it was though :)

That's really nice, well produced and thought out.

I'm planning a TL project and it's going to be difficult to create anything up to that standard.

' a great TL film, great choice of shots and overall good flow. The only thing I would comment on is the adding in post of movement. Although this is a great tool to add continuous movement to a stationary shot it needs to be done with care. Going out on a limb I'm guessing you added this in Prem Pro or Final. This is one way of doing it, the other is to use After Effects which gives you much more control over the movement and is by far a much better way to create a TL sequence than an editing platform. For example, at 2.40 the added camera movement from left to right changes speed and the zooms out very erratically.

Using AE you can add easy ease key frames that make this movement much more fluid, each sequence created in AE can then be dynamically linked to Final or Prem pro negating the need to render out the TL and then import it to you timeline in the editing software. Any changes made to the TL in AE auto updates once the AE project has been linked so you can play around with the camera movement to see what works best.

Really enjoyed watching it and fully apprieciate the time it must have took to film and put together in post

I can't imagine how long it took to film and edit but nevertheless I enjoyed your work. Because you've got some really interesting footage of both day and night of the same areas I'd have liked to see the film start during the night, show a full day, and then end at night for a better flow. A day in the life of London.

Stunning by any standards. Great use of music cues. I've used After FX for 3 years, how the hell did you create that smoke?

Very nice Dave, some great scenes especially the tube & tower bridge shots, a tiny nit pick would be a bit too much added motion for my liking but this is a tiny thing & its my personal pref' :) did you use a dolly slider at all ? Also love the smoke credits very cool. Look forward to the new project

Great footage and a lot of standing next to the camera for hours protecting it from robbers :) !
