Corel Painter 15 - OK in Windows 10?

HI... I've been offered this program at a very good price and I'd like to get it but my PC runs on Windows 10. The Corel website only lists Painter 16 and Essentials 5 as being written for Windows 10, however I am being told that as Painter 15 runs fine in 7 and 8 it should also run fine in Windows 10 machines, although not be Corel themselves who haven't answered my email! So my question is are any of you guys happily using Corel Painter 15 under Windows 10?

Please, though, don't bother with lectures about how massive a program it is, how unsuitable this is for a beginner, how I should instead be looking for this or that alternative program - I have been offered this one particular program which I'd like to try but I'm just concerned that it might not run under Windows 10.

Thanks, Richard but I'm afraid it doesn't answer my question... it just says:

"Windows® version:

• Microsoft® Windows® 8.1 (64-bit), or Windows


7 (32-bit or 64-bit editions), with the latest Service Packs"


The fact that it works with Win 7 and Win 8.1 doesn't always guarantee it will work with Win 10 - not all operating systems are backwards compliant.... I once had to upgrade a scanner because it ran on XP but I couldn't get drivers for Win 7. Even though I can get the program at a reduced price it's still too expensive to take a chance on.

What I need is for anyone who has tried to use the program under Win 10 to let me know if they were successful. As always many thanks to all who can help.

Finally got hold of somebody in Corel. They advise that Corel Painter 15 will not work under Windows 10. The only two that are designed with Win 10 in mind are Corel Painter 2016 and Corel Essentials 5. Looking at the prices for both products I rather think I'll try out Essentials 5.
