Show us yer film shots then!

Ha, I had a pretty hearty chuckle while taking that photograph. Mrs. Sh4rk couldn't see what was quite so funny at the time. ;)

Poor lass being "used" for an F&C laff :p..........be aware RJ, payback may come in 40 years when that last shot is dug out and shown to ya kids/ grand kids !:D:D:D

My best effort from last night's session. Both Ektar/Crystal Archive with the Pentax 6x7.
I seem to have unintentionally taken loads of shots of vehicles over the last couple of months. Looking through my negatives, it's all cars, bicycles and aeroplanes. I must go back to shooting rusty old water tanks and the like. Thankfully, the Land Rover is falling to bits.

Fortunately, she is very pleased with the results!

These colour prints are looking great!

Man, these photographs are really making me want to do some colour optical printing, but I'll have to live with black and white hand prints and colour digital prints for now. Oh well.

This works really well. I love the colour and the composition. I've tried shots like these a few times, but never seem to be able to capture anything that feels this balanced. The DoF is spot-on too. Enough to keep the main features sharp while leaving the background completely blurred. Makes me want to shoot Velvia. Such a shame we can't still print from it.

Thanks RJ. It's taken me a couple of weeks, but I think I've just about got my enlarger settings sorted out for Portra 400 and Ektar in a few different types of light. I also seem to have got 'my eye in' for tweaking the filters when it's a bit off. Both these were first attempts with my basic settings for 'Ektar in the sun' and 'Ektar in the shade'. Lots of note-taking definitely pays off when colour printing.

Fantastic tree - great pic:agree:!

I've banterred numerous times about posting this shot.

There's something about it that i like but not sure what tbh:thinking:

Anyway, here it is, shot in a park in Nice on a very wet miserable autumn afternoon

Spurred on by the purported discontinuation of the Holga cameras, I decided I'd finally print a few photographs taken with my Holga GTLR in France this past summer. The Holgas can produce great results if used within their capabilities, so it's a shame to hear that they may not produce them any more.

@skysh4rk that first shot shows so many scenes of weather / seasons

Cloudy skies
Blue skies
Snow covered hill top
Flooded plain
Autumn golden brown coloured trees
Evergreen trees
"Winter" stripped of foilage trees
and to top it all, somsunshine from the left to illuminate the scene beautifully!

Sounds like Scotland in a nutshell! :)

Oddly attractive images from this weather. Hope you've not suffered any damage?

Thanks, Steve. We live in a third-floor flat in Glasgow, so we're perfectly fine, fortunately. This is just what we encountered on our jaunt north a week or two back. We had intended to visit the Falls of Leny, but the roads were flooded and we couldn't make it past Callander. The town seemed fairly well prepared, so hopefully the damage in the area wasn't too extensive, although water levels were significantly higher than when we'd been up there just a couple weeks before.
