Good afternoon all,

Iv just signed up so thought I would say hi!

Based in Hull, East Yorkshire

I'v been interested in photography for a while now, mainly of cars (as a former petrolhead) and more recently of holiday destinations

I recently made an investment in a Nikon D5500 so hoping to take up more photography inbetween holidays now as well

Look forward to chatting with everyone - site looks good!

Just on the topic of photos on the forums - whats the best / easiest way to do that. I see there is a button for upload a file, but most I have stored on my pc are too large in filesize.

Do most use a photobucket / flickr type site (not something I currently have) and use the url code from the html address to post in forum?
 
Hello and a very warm welcome to you Andy. Most people us Flickr and use the url/BBCode for displaying shots yes.(y)

Hi there and welcome Andy - you can download a free program (Easy Thumbnails) which will let you resize a pic and reduce the filesize at the same time - just set the quality to about 80% or so.

The max on here is 1024 pixels on the long side and 325KB (I think).
