weekly Clives TP 52 Week 52: Celebrate

4 good images in their own right and bang on topic of course. I agree re: the border, but for me I think they'd work better as individual shots rather than a collage.

Colourful - Beautiful and certainly colourful.
Entrance - Lovely capture of the blue tit and couldn't be more appropriate.
Size - Really like this shot and again great for the theme:clap:

"entrance" works well would love to see a little more detail in there the light looks a little harsh or maybe its a big crop

nice idea for "size" i quite like the quirky angle you shot

Well timed shot of the blue tit there - I love this time of year for all the birds in our garden - so colourful and cute :)
Your size shot is spot on for the theme - I love the angle, too. I might have liked to see the focus point a little further along the rail to lead you into the shot a little more, but I do like the dof. (y)

Size ... good stuff, quirky angle, neat idea. Rail reflection is a little ugly, I think I'd trim 15% - 20% off the top. Just a thought.

Hi Clive,
Entrance - not sure if it's just me, but with not being able to zoom in, the bird seems to be out of focus
Size - good take on the theme. The Dutch angle works well in the shot. Nice colours and good focus / DoF.

Good idea and execution for this week's shot, Clive. I like the shallow DoF as you know the others are also sizes so they don't need to be in focus. One if the ideas I had also, but didn't go with it in the end :)

Entrance - nicely caught, they are fast moving little things in my experience

Size - I really like that, very good take on the theme, well captured.

Hi Clive

Colourful works well, although there's a touch of softness creeping into some shots - not sure if that's because you've cropped in a lot?
Entrance also works, but my favourite is size. The angle, the composition, the lighting and overall feel of the image just works perfectly. It could easily be an advert for them (y)

Entrance, well captured. Nice textures in the wood and good eye contact. Quite busy on the RHS, but it does show context. Size, nice exercise in shallow DOF and nice colours.

Cheers.

Entrance nicely captured some lovely detail and texture in the bird box I may have been tempted to crop some off the sides.

Size really like that the colours of the size labels really draw your eye great DOF

That's a lovely shot for Entrance - like the texture of the nesting box too. Size is spot on theme and has the bonus of being colourful too.

Like your Entrance shot and my only crit would have been to clone out the leaf on the top rhs as it's drawing my eye a little.

Size is an inspired take on the theme. Ticks all the boxes (y)

That's so sad on so many levels Clive. Great choice for the theme.

Forgotten, there are some well maintained cemeteries and some that have fallen into decay or have been vandalised.

Nice low POV, some issues at the top with the exposure

Cheers.

Clive, must admit you see a lot of abandoned, forgotten graves around where I live. I like how you captured the text on the side Husband and Father

Such a sad image. Love the angle you have taken it at the processing adds to the felling of being forgotten

It was a very bright day, I shot it in b&w, which I very rarely do, not sure if that might have caused the over exposure in the back ground
This graveyard is a mixture of well maintained and falling into total disrepair. The war graves are all really well cared for which is nice to see.

Well seen Clive, a good subject for the theme, I quite like that it washes out into the distance

Gritty (y) and the over exposed top bit adds bleakness (accentuated in PP?).

colourful - 4 great shots all very colourful
entrance - well timed I bet that took a great deal of patience to
size - very colourful and right on theme
forgotten - the B+W suits the theme and I like the way the words are almost highlighted

Forgotten looks very bleak you have captured the theme really well.

Interesting angle on the stones Clive, it works well :)

BTW linky fixed..

Hi Clive. Such varied colours in those stones - excellent POV.

Hi Clive, the stones are great and your DOF choice works really well. Three things I might tweak - but only because I think it's a good image which is work just adding that extra to - a gradient lighten to the sky (maybe a stop) and top part of the sea, just to make it pop a touch; straighten the horizon or make it properly wonky; and take the pillar thing off centre (ideally recompose and place it in the cleft of the stones near the left third).

But parking all of those, it's a really good shot, well seen and well captured - bravo! (y)
