My main model is my little boy but I d like to take some pictures of him that are a little different than standard family snaps. I grab this one of him in the bath that I was quite pleased with. But I would like some tips and critiques to let me know if I m going the right way.

@fudge
John, it may be the resolution that you've posted it here but it looks a little out of focus to me.
That notwithstanding, it's an interesting composition and perspective so well done on something a little different.
I would suggest with kids, shoot lots, different perspectives etc as you've done here. Get down to their level too. From this one image I would say you are definitely shooting in the right direction, good luck.

It's a nice shot but a few too many toys. They make the photo too busy. I would crop some of the left hand side and some off the bottom. Just my opinion though I could be wrong. Nicely focused though with good dof. Hope you don't mind me trying an edit.

Thanks guys, I think the focus maybe a bit off. Probably on his hair rather than eyes. The crop is interesting. I hadn't really thought about it but you re right , there is a lot going on behind him that doesn't really add to the photo. . It is the composition side of things I d like to improve. Just as an example I also took this at the same time . It's better exsposed and sharper but didn't strike as as good as the other photo
