pretty obvious really.

Yes
Carrying on from the way the brexit recovery thread is going, which words or phrases do you hate to hear. Mine is a word that seems to have appeared in the last few years used by motorsport commentators and its " winningist".

used to hate what I consider the misuse of "superlative" to describe a pass in football commentary, but still hate "delicious"

I also hate people saying they "hate" something, when really they just find it annoying :D

When news reports on flooding say "the river burst its banks" when unless the river has burst through some form of levy style the river almost certainly only overflowed its banks, and there are very few rivers in the UK that have levy flood defences

Blah blah blah....Redundancy.... Blah blah blah.....

Feels like s*** either way. :(
Sorry to hear that, been there done that a few times, its no fun is it? :(

bokehlicious WTF?
its a picture with dark edges FFS!

And according to the urban dictionary :-
A term derived from the Japanese word for "fool"

Ta.
And no...it's not a barrel of monkeys for anyone here (bar the retiring directors of course) at the moment.

Can I get....

Depends on the context really.

"Can I get very drunk this evening?" Why yes, I believe I can (and might).

"Can I get a coffee please?" No...bugger off.

Yes, but who EVER asked if they could get drunk this evening, especially after the week I've had....

I'll see yours and raise you mine....

And I wasn't asking, I was merely pondering my ability to get drunk this evening :D

I know what my bosses don't like hearing "Mr Duffy your appeal has been upheld and you are to be re-instated with immediate effect"

They've now heard that phrase twice in 5 years. Woo hoo.

Sounds like you deserve it .. permission granted ..
but step away from the key board we get enough of "those posts" especially on Friday night :D

Hmmm I feel left out now, I've applied for voluntary redundancy 3 times and been turned down :(

TBH I looked at it as an opportunity to change my life for the better, which I have now even though I never got accepted.

Just think the summer is here all those opportunities to go out with camera and all these cubs being born.

Nothing said really annoys me, I have some great sarcastic retorts that stops them

What about "Bu,er" instead of Butter.

Or "see you later" when later might not be for days, weeks or longer
