I am nowhere an expert, so wanted to check here first

I have image which is 1,2 MB
wight 3285px
high 2078px
72dpi (whatever that means)

would the quality would be good if i print it 11.8x7.8 inches? (30x20cm)?

Can anyone recommend good online guide, so i could refer to it in the future

Thank you in advance

Yup that'll be fine I would think. Basically you're printing an a4 sheet.

That should be more than enough digital information to get a nice print made at the aforementioned size.

The usual recommendation for great prints is 300 pixels per inch but in the real world, you can usually get away with fewer because the larger the print, the further the viewer usually is. Your intended print size should be fine with the pixel dimensions you've given.

Indeed. There's some empirical evidence which suggests that for images hanging on a wall, the ideal viewing distance is approximately the same as the diagonal measurement of the image. So if you crunch the numbers it turns out that you never need more than about 6 megapixels, eg an image 3000 x2000 pixels. The image here is about that size so it should be safe to print virtually any size you like.
