weekly Wallyboys 52 for 2016, CELEBRATION ADDED

Nice find Walter that's certainly well hidden. I like the little bit of blue amongst the green.

It certainly is hidden.

Excellent find Walter, composition works really well with lots of greenery showing.

The blue/green contrast is very striking Walter. I've spent ages trying to fathom out what sign it was - well hidden and therefore well chosen.

Great find (literally), and great contrasting colours.

Definitely on theme :)

Hidden enough for me ... good find, good colour.
Thanks guys and gals, as always comments much appreciated:)

Well chosen Wfor the theme Walter. I like the composition with that expanse accentuates the loneliness of the photographer.

I think I get what you were going for but I am not entirely convinced by the photo, sorry.

Tell me more:)
I hate to be overly-critical and I am sure this is just me being an old sceptic but I think one thing is that the 'tog is a bit too close to the LHS and somehow in my head that seems to detract from him being alone (there could be a great big party going on just out of shot) and perhaps similarly with the cut off building on the RHS. Also, my perception of "lone" or "lonely" is either taking on a challenge, facing adversity "lone wolf" style or "alone" as in gritty B&W of a of someone or something isolated/rejected but this 'tog seems happy enough chimping away on a bright sunny day.

Sorry to kind of unload on your photo, I'm sure its better than whatever I end up doing this week but you did ask ;)

Thanks Sirch Interesting observations, I know what you are saying.
The way I saw the shot was a lone togger on the beach, he was on his own in a vast expanse, I was inside shed when took shot, so I framed part of frame of shed, hence RHSC,
The LHSC was to show being alone moving into space,.
Really appreciate feedback:)

Hi Walter I like your image for Lonely I like the fact that the tog has plenty of space to walk into.I also like the inclusion of the old building on the right too

I like it.
Is it Dungeness?

Hi Walter ....there's enough space there for me too, I think the distance of the shot works well, the fact that he looks so tiny works for the theme, I might have nipped that building off I think it would increase the feeling of space.

Hi, on theme, IMO. Lone:

having no companions; solitary or single.
"I approached a lone drinker across the bar"
synonyms: solitary, single, solo, unaccompanied, unescorted, alone, all alone, by oneself/itself,sole, without companions, companionless;

It has a film feel to it. Might work better in B&W, with the RH building cropped out :)

Cheers.
Thanks for comments, to bring subject in closer for me would have been to intimate, hence the space. More emphasis on lone.

First up this week Walter! I like the bold and beautiful colours of both the bug and the "walkway". Second image works best for me. (May have to look to invest in a Raynox).

Oooo bugger... it looks like I have missed loads of yours Walter, Sorry, I will start using the link on the spreadsheet to get here each week :)

Fauna - Just love the colour of thess, and it sounds absolutely tiny, also really liking the coloured string it is on in combination with the jet black background, you have it all, preferring the second one/side on for best detail and composition, spot on (y)

I agree with the above, very well done, interesting colours, clean background, second one shows the details on the insect very well

Hi Walter
Lone - A bit too much of an expanse for me, I would have cropped in tighter and lost the shed on the right.
Fauna - Good macro shot, the colours especially are great.

Nice pictures of the bug, prefer the second.
In your lone picture i lie the composition it makes him look even more alone.

Great MAcro image Walter love the contrast of the colours.

I love that second one - he reall looks like he's on a mission! The bright colours of both bug and line work really well against the dark bg.

Raynox DCR 250 eh! nice result

#2 for me. :D

The ossuary at St. Leonard's!
I love that place...fascinating, and about as static as it gets. :)

Hi Walter they're not going anywhere anytime soon!

Great find for the theme some nice lighting too.

Great shot and great lighting for static! And they are static indeed. Not quite sure if there's a slight lens distortion...

Excellent choice for the theme and very well taken Walter, especially an off the cuff indoor shot. (Like the title - made me chuckle).
