Excellent catch-up Anita - nice to see you still with us. All four shots are good for their respective themes but my faves are the Boules for Game and the ornate & colourful take of the church.

Good catch up, you have handled the light in the church and the windows very well, great colours and details.

I like the positions of the players and their focus on the balls in game. The lines and tones in black and white work well too - it would have been nice to get the verticals all straight as well, but I don't know if you have a program to help with that.

Thank you. I tried to get lines straight but the more I tried the worse it got. Don't really know what I'm doing....[emoji57]

Hi Anita,

All photos are bang on theme, although the Eiffel Tower seems to be a bit the Leaning Tower of Paris in your photo…
I love your Pétanque photo, how everyone is looking at the ball. B&W conversion works very well.
I like the symmetry in the church photo. Very well balanced exposure.
And a great B&W photo, very abstract and very symmetric.

Great catch up!

Game is an excellent photo, the Eiffel tower does look like its going to topple backwards, but it is a view of it that i have never seen

I too like the simplicity and abstractness of your B&W one .... after it's been straightened. ;)

I may have been tempted to clone out the two people, at least, and then possibly the mid ground distractions, but I do like the PoV on this Anita.
The crumbling brick work in the foreground sets it all of nicely :)

Where is this Anita? The ruin looks an incredible piece of architecture but acts here as a nice partial frame for the church beyond.

How many years ago was the castle built and we are now looking at what's left, very interesting indeed.

Hi Anita,
Static - Nice vibrant shot of the trifle(sic) tower. Good job you didn't shoot it at night, or you'd have had the Gendarmes after you for copyright infringement ;)
Game - Petanque or Boules? I feels a bit washed out to me, needs a bit of a play in levels to give it some boom!
Serene - That's more like it with the contrast :) Tiny crit would be 1/2 a step to your left would have had the light (I assume) in front of the window hanging down centrally.
Black & White - More ompfh needed. Chucking it into PS and using the 'photocopy' filter makes a massive change to it, removing pretty much all the grey.
Ancient - A great contrast of ancient and perhaps not quite so ancient going on there with the crumbling masonry vs the intact church. I'm going to carry on wittering about contrast, this wants a boost in the mid tones imo.

Thanks for commenting. Think I need some help with editing. I have a play around but become frustrated or bored because I don't really know what I'm doing! [emoji12]

Hahaaaaa practice makes perfect as they say, try watching a few youtube videos on editing, they can be very useful indeed :)

Very good take on ancient the castle wall and the church are really good subjects, well seen and captured.

Urban is a great find, I like the contrast between the building and the vibrant colours of the graffiti

Brilliant piece of graffiti artwork - like the way the path leads up to the balcony.

Great find for urban! Rather than cropping the car out, I would clone it out. That the contrast between the graffiti and bare wall adds to the photo.

Hi Anita

Sorry not commented for a while.

I love the vibrant colours in your urban image I actually like the inclusion of the car in the image.
